Summary

A broken sword is still a weapon in the right hands....

Oric Rune is on the hunt for retribution.

As the sky shifts crimson, a plague engulfs the continent. Oric must act. Revenge can come later; destiny awaits.

Joined by a wolf, a mage, a giant, and a cunning illusionist, Oric's unlikely team is his best chance for survival in this fantasy LitRPG adventure. As the enemies close in from all sides, Oric must make the difficult choice between personal vengeance and becoming the hero he is destined to be.

Or die.

Because a player can actually die in the online fantasy world known as Unigaea....

About the series: An early LitRPG series published from 2017-2018, The Last Warrior of Unigaea: Box Set contains all three books in the trilogy plus a bonus short story. Set in a VRMMORPG, expect a dark fantasy world full of action and dangerous creatures, The Last Warrior Unigaea delivers a complete story, one that never lets up as Oric Rune hacks his way through numerous foes. The 18+-hour audiobook, narrated by Jeff Hays and Annie Ellicott, packs the punch and quality you've come to expect from Soundbooth Theater. This is one journey you don't want to miss!

Harmon & SBT : The dream team

Everything I have listened to of Harmon's work is brilliant, and Jeff & Annie are the Carlsberg of narrators.

Whilst listening, you really feel like you are part of this questline along with Oric, Wolf, Sam & Deathdale. And oh do I want to have a wolf.

The proxima world is a great place to lose yourself and in a way I can see this type of game play happening in the future especially with VR the way it's going.

SBT make the audiobooks extra fun (Hiccup especially), and the fact that you get 3 books for 1 credit also make this a brilliant way to spend your monthly credit... Go on you know you want to

Everything Jeff Hayes narrates turns to gold.

I need to remember Harmon Cooper writes Gamelit, not LitRPG. Yes, there's a difference. I've listened to or read a few of Harmon's books and like them for the most part. This one follows along the lines of the others I'm familiar with. It takes place in his Proxima Galaxy, like all of them do, but a different world. Like many of Harmon's books, there doesn't seem to be an arcing plot to it until almost the end. It's more of some semi-random battles that slowly points you to a plot. If you're into Gamelit, this probably isn't that big an issue. It wasn't for me. The main character is likable enough and of course Jeff Hayes does a brilliant job. I doubt I would have given it more than 3 stars if performed by anyone other than a handful of narrators.

3 audios of excellence for 1

The Last Warrior trilogy is a great find as it's 3 times the fun and excitement and with the emotional and Intense story of Oric, Wolf, Sam amd Deathdale this is a roller coaster and a treat to the ears.
As with any LitRPG this is for most a tale of politics, revenge, action and a good tie in with other Proxima world stories from Cooper. The politics are very easy going and the twists we have are very well done.
The skills of Hays and Ellicott are well matched with the characters and SBT always does a good job I have found.
I asked for this audio and have left my thoughts on this for you to peruse.

Great series

Well were to start
started of not to interested to be honest little different from what I usually listen to so was going to give it a swerve.
Am I glad I didn't what a great box set.
Full of action,comedy.
The characters are great hats of for that.
Lots of plot twists and new developments.
All in all great listen and thank you for the story

Slow and some how uninformative

Three hours in and we know two and a half characters one of who is the MC the other is his wolf. A few towns and that this is a general high fantasy game world a couple of the factions. MC has revenge as motivation that's it how is this both slow and uninformative. Usually its one or other but this is both still i have bought it so will stick with it but I dont recommend.

Awful

Have listened to 6 chapters
At first I thought it was a parody ut alas no. The narrator's voice sounds like a bad b movie which suits the story. Total waste of my money.
