About this listen

A novel that grips from the very beginning and that will live long in the memory, The Last Thing I Remember is Deborah Bee's startling debut thriller.

Sarah is in a coma. Her memory is gone - she doesn't know how she got there. And she doesn't know how she might get out. But then she discovers that her injury wasn't an accident. And that the assailant hasn't been caught.

Unable to speak, see or move, Sarah must use every clue that she overhears to piece together her own past. And work out who it is that keeps coming into her room.

Took me a couple of attempts to get into this book but it was really worth it and has a very good twist to the tale at the end

The characters are well portrayed and they really come alive and the voices to match them

I ended up really rooting for the main character

Very pleased I didn’t give up on it as I would have missed a good book

Slow to start but really worth it

Way to much bad language and so much unnecessary.
The idea of the story is very good I would have enjoyed it more with only a little use of the f word and quite a bit more humour.

I swear I am not lying

tbh it took me a chapter to get into it thought it would b a return however not the case. found myself getting really involved urging Sarah to wake up, getting really annoyed at her mom!! did I anticipate the end? in hind sight I guess yes but only after I had finished the book and reflected!! very good

very grippimg

Great story with convincing characters, especially Kelly, loved her! Keeps you hooked right from the offset. Covers some very dark topics but does this really well. Definitely recommended.

Loved the characters, sad and moving story of how being born into the wrong circumstances can shape our lives and give us labels we eventually believe to be truly who we are. A friendship develops that offers hope and a different perspective only to end in horrific circumstances. Good listen

Enjoyable
