Always practise safe hex....

New York Times bestselling author Rachel Hawkins, writing as Erin Sterling, follows her sensational TikTok hit, The Ex Hex, and casts a spell with a new spine-tingling romance full of wishes, witches and cursed kisses.

Magic doesn't always play by the rules.

Gwyn Jones is perfectly happy with her life in Graves Glen. She's formed a powerful new coven with her family; she's running a successful witchcraft shop, Something Wicked and she's mentoring some of the younger witches in town. As Halloween approaches, there's only one problem—Llewellyn 'Wells' Penhallow.

Wells has come to Graves Glen for two reasons: to re-establish his family's connection to the town and to make a new life for himself away from his father. But when he opens a magic shop of his own just across the street from Gwyn's, he quickly learns that going up against her won't be as easy as he thought...especially after an accidentally magic-inspired—and very hot—kiss.

While Gwyn and Wells are fully committed to their witchy rivalry, they soon find themselves thrown together once again to deal with the sudden appearance of a mysterious new coven and Gwyn's growing concern that something—or someone—is messing with her magic....

I loved the first book and surprised myself by loving this sequel even more. Gwyn’s character is so well written. She’s funny, strong and kind. In fact, I think all of the characters were really well written. This is a feel good read. Totally agree with other reviewers that the Welsh accents were very off. Even this didn’t manage to put me off the story though.

Absolutely binged this

Switching to a physical copy, what's meant to be a "Welsh" accent is horrendous and its really putting me off.
Sometimes it's generic English, and abruptly changes to Scottish? .... but it's never Welsh.

If you're not British it might not sound so off. And the rest of the narration and the story itself is great.

Love the story but...

Loved the story, thought it was a great sequel to the ex hex but the accents in the audio book were terrible…that is not a Welsh accent😂

Such a fun sequel!

Enjoyed the continuation of this series. The story is fun and not super predictable.
Sadly, the lack of a Welsh accent is disappointing and slightly off-putting. It flicks between American/Irish and Scottish.
When the 3rd book comes out, I hope that there might be a male narrator with a Welsh accent.

Fun but the narration is odd

I was enjoying the story, but the ‘Welsh’ accent is so tremendously bad as to be entirely distracting. So I cannot finish this audiobook.

Can’t finish it

I really enjoy the writing, the story and the characters but the narration really spoiled it for me, the “Welsh” accent was shocking and reduced my enjoyment. I also thought Gwyn’s voice came across as very superficial which didn’t suit the character

Great story, dreadful narration
