In The King of the Golden River, the long-running selfishness of the Black Brothers finally catches up with them, and their valley is transformed into a dry plane of red sand. Veteran narrators John Chatty and Walter Zimmerman give an engaging performance, stirring to life the evil Black Brothers, the Southwest Wind, the King, and the well-intentioned younger Black Brother, Gluck.
