Summary

For half a century, people have debated the Kennedy assassination. Some claim that the Warren Commission got it right - that Kennedy was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, a lone-nut assassin. Others contend that Kennedy was killed as part of a conspiracy.

It is not the purpose of this book to engage in that debate. The purpose of this book is simply to focus on what happened at Bethesda Naval Hospital on the evening of November 22, 1963. What happened that night is so unusual that it cries out for truthful explanation even after all these years.

In this book you will learn that:

1. Kennedy's body was actually delivered to the Bethesda morgue twice, at separate times and in separate caskets.

2. Some photographs and X-rays from the autopsy went missing from the record, and other photographs in the record were forged or otherwise fraudulent.

3. The president's body was altered by tampering with the wounds before the autopsy took place.

And much more.

"Some sort of horror story that was real."

I was in my late teens when the news of President Kennedy's assassination rocked the world. It felt as devastating at the time as 9/11 did almost 40 years later. Surely this wasn't possible in America? And, in the aftermath, increasingly it felt that something was wrong with the facts presented and the secrecy surrounding the evidence of the death of that much loved man. All sorts of conspiracy theories were muted, not least that of a second shooter on the 'grassy knoll ', the unexpected deaths of many who had any closer knowledge of events of that day, and the locking up of statements and evidence made to the Warren Commission for 75 years, too far in the future for almost anyone who might have had an interest to be long gone - myself included.

So this book was an excellent presentation of, not vague theories but statements of people who were actually present at the time of the body's journey from the hospital which received Kennedy's body immediately after the shooting through to that where the autopsy (s?) was conducted, with alternate suggestions of what occurred where needed. With two main sections, that of the multiple coffin scenario, and the strange 'magic bullet' suggestion, covered with fascinating clarity, the book is completed with documents quoted in appendices A and B. There are, naturally, repetitions in places where scenarios overlap but This is usually helpful to refresh the reader's memory in the face of such bizarre events.
This fascinating book was narrated with clarity and expertise by Kevin Pierce.

Enjoyable is not really the correct term, given the subject matter, but so much I had not previously known has helped to clarify my thoughts of this tragic time. How different the world might have been had Kennedy lived to complete his term of office and a second one, a far safer and equitable world for us all. So my thanks to FABC for making The Kennedy Autopsy a freely available complimentary download to anyone requesting it, and the rights holder who made this possible.
Highly recommended to everyone who has an interest in the politics of power, the recent history of the U.S.of A as well as a strange, almost unbelievable mystery murder thriller.
