Getting back on that horse

I had surgery a few months back and fell backward on my fitness. I was looking for something a bit different and came across this two-book collection on hybrid workouts. I feel this book series would work for people of any fitness level, and the workouts are super easy to follow. I do need to modify the workout a bit for me, but that is an easy fix. The second book on mental toughness is what really helped me feel better about my current situation, and now I feel like I can do this and get back into shape.

Essential, Comprehensive Advice for Young Athletes

If you (or your child) is a competitive athlete, this bundle of two terrific books is a treasure trove of information. The first book--Mental Toughness for Young Athletes Unleashed--is focused more on mental resilience and adaptability. You will learn to thrive in the face of challenges, find deeper focus, manage stress, and much more. Much of the book is about mindset, but there is also advice on nutrition and rest, life/athletics balance, and (for parents and coaches) ways to be supportive. The second book--Train Like a Hybrid Athlete--is focused more on physical training, specifically running and strength training as a whole-body fitness regime. The writing and narration of both books are encouraging, and the information is easy to understand and apply. Using these books will help set yourself up for greater success!

really great motivator

I’m not an athlete, and my busy work and study schedule keeps me from being very active, but this audiobook was a gift, so I decided to give it a try. I’ve been wanting to become more active, and this audiobook really motivated me. The author does an excellent job highlighting the importance of both physical and mental strength. While it was a bit overwhelming at times since I’m not an athlete, the key takeaway was that becoming a “hybrid athlete” is about more than just exercise, it’s a mindset. An extra edge in your performance

As a professional athlete, I'm always looking for resources to help me improve and take my performance to the next level. I aspire to make the mental side of my game as good as it can be, so the first part of this book especially intrigued me. There were lots of good mental techniques and skills given that helped consolidate the things I was already doing, and learn some new things that had a positive impact on my game.
