I really enjoyed this. The build up to war was fascinating and study of global of strategy that runs through this book is a great angle.
Nit picking i would’ve liked more detail on weapons systems, but that’s probably down to me remembering the Gulf war from my childhood and liking things that go woosh and/or bang!

Excellent build up

Very long build up, over 2/3 rds of book. Actual war phase very light on detail. In fact, a recent audio book here on cold war tank battles had better coverage in 1 chapter than this did in the book. Editing wasn't brilliant as there were a couple of sections repeated. Pronounciation of the Republican Guard units not brilliant either. Overall, not impressed.

The Gulf War (as long as you're American....apparently no-one else was involved!)
