Summary

Number one business best seller (Wall Street Journal, Amazon, USA Today)

The Great Devaluation may be one of the most timely books ever written on the state of the global economy. Baratta sums it up simply enough with the following idea: "What seems crazy in normal times becomes necessary in a crisis."

The Great Devaluation is the number one best-selling book that explains why the real crisis facing the world today is not the coronavirus. The real crisis facing the world is explosive government debt and deficits. Governments are now left with no choice but to spend more than they make, borrow more than they can ever repay, and devalue their currencies to cover it all up.

Former Hollywood storyteller Adam Baratta brings monetary policy to life in this follow-up to his national best seller Gold Is a Better Way. You'll learn how and why Federal Reserve polices have facilitated an explosion in government debt and have systematically undermined the world financial system in the name of profit. The result? An out-of-control system where financial inequality has become a ticking time bomb set to blow up the global economy.

Great pitch.

I enjoyed the story. Thinking that I’m being coerced into buying gold by a gold salesman. I’m not sure and recommend others to review.

The importance of Gold

Very generic at the beginning but develops in later chapters with arguments I haven’t heard from even the great leaders of todays finance world

Heed and be rewarded. Adam, relatively unknown, will be known well in the future for his insight and predictions.

Eye opening

I'm so happy I have listened to this book and also gold is the better way. Maybe it should have been called the gold is the best way and the gold is the Only way. Either way, this booked confirmed to me what I already believed in. Thanks a lot for putting it out there! 😊

Not enough research

It's like this guy read a book on the matter and then rewrote that book with his own words.

Not enough research or work has been put into this book and that is clear

Factually incorrect, bad timing and terribly written

Nothing unique here, it’s rehashing the same stories. Basic facts are wrong such as stating BBB is a junk bond, which it is not.
Wasted 30mins of my life scanning through this rubbish to find anything interesting.
