About this listen
When Ailsa Field uproots her family to Norfolk, she's determined a change of scene will fix all their problems. Then the Fairports move in next door, and Ailsa is terrified their influence will damage her family's new start. But for teenagers Romy and Jay, none of that matters.
But when Romy decides to help Jay, what starts as an innocent plan quickly threatens to destroy the Field family forever....

"Neill's characters are so cleverly depicted, you feel as if you've met at least one of them before." ( Vogue)
I love the part in this book near the beginning where the mother is describing how her daughter is the child who has left the least trace around the house and made the least fuss when growing up. And then everything changes.
If this book had been more distinct from the other (i.e. without another father also involved in academic behaviour-ralted research, without another woman interested in alternative therapy) I'd have liked it much more.
Disappointing

But this one is awful! The plot evolves around two teenagers and the issue they have is ridiculous. On top of that, the characters are very similar to the other book- brain researchers, alternative therapy enthusiasts, and a career person. The main teenage character is doing various science A levels and is portrayed basically as a medic.
Absolutely ridiculous. I returned this book.
Terrible plot!
