This book was a slog. I couldn’t even finish it. Didn’t care about a single character. I was disappointed with this.
I also struggled with the narration. His voice was great and his characters were good. However, he read all scenes with the same intonation. No drama. No increase in speed during an intense scene. This wasn’t helped by the fact that it sounded like a low quality recording. There was just something odd about it. Like It was recorded on a phone.
This was rough.
