Cute relaxing book
This is a lovely book, it has a cute storyline and is a good soundtrack to keep while your hands are busy.

Nice idea but not quite there
It starts really well then drifts a bit with many boring details. The narrator wasn't great in English - very flat delivery so difficult to raise interest in anything. The unexpressive tone became a drone. I didn't feel anything for the characters unfortunately despite wanting to love this I was very disappointed.
I am an avid reader & listener of Japanese literature, contemporary fiction & found this mediocre at best.
