Summary

After a devastating breakup, instead of drowning in her tears, Amelia Day starts a new business. For a hefty fee, she uses the methods for training foster dogs to transform men into suitable marriage material. Her track record is impeccable until she meets perpetual bachelor Phin Baxtor. From the start, she’s confused as to why this guitar-playing hunk would even want to hire her, but she needs the money, so she takes him on.

Phin is content with working in his food truck all day and playing the field at night. But his business partner, Jay, offers him a bet he can’t refuse. If Phin can complete Amelia’s program without changing his ways, he will win Jay’s rare guitar. Certain his task will be easier than playing “Hound Dog,” he agrees to enter the program.

With Phin and Amelia spending all their time together, her techniques begin to slip past his defenses. He might become her biggest success, but falling for a client isn’t supposed to be part of the deal.

Absurd

We all know rom com storylines are tenuous, but the speed at which this one travels is laughable. Whilst there are some entertaining moments, and points where you can see how the characters bond, it just seems too absurd. I did a lot of eye rolling.

Lovely Lighthearted Listen 3🌟🌟🌟

This listen was great. It was just what I needed, a laugh out loud, light hearted listen. The premise was different and nice. I love romance, so it was right up my street. I was relieved that their was no graphic sexual scenes to listen too.

Mood lightening fun

As a dog lover and volunteer with animal charities the premise made me smile. I enjoyed the characters and the book gave me an escape when I was going through a difficult period with one of my own pets. Good fun, thank you!

Loved the story.

Great story but the narrators were painful to listen to. Sounded very much like AI!!

Original idea but story was cringe worthy cliché

Thought the idea sounded intriguing though didn't expect it to be taken quite so literally. I'd be amazed if anyone would.go for it. And was just super cliché.and cheesy.. Performance ok but nothing spectacular - characters all a little unbelievable.
