About this listen

Contains books three and four of The Forever Series.

Endless fighting. Hopeless odds. Then things got worse. Jon Ryan has beaten the odds so far. He saved humanity from a sinister alien threat, and he stopped the insane android president of the United States three separate times. But the president won't stay dead, and a super race threatens to end Jon's hopes for a peaceful future.

Jon's mind-boggling alien technology has been enough to keep everyone alive. But, just when there's reason for hope, a new, more deadly race sets its sights on him. This threat may just be unstoppable. They made Jon fight. He plans to make them very sorry they did.

Meanwhile, Jon discovers an alternate time-line version of himself, one who suffered the loss of his species. Jon finds himself on a quest to find his duplicate who's lost in time and space.

Can Jon save humanity, his family, and himself when defeat looks absolutely certain? Can one good man stand against unbeatable odds one more time?

A raucous romp through space

Great fun, an easy listen but I felt it was a bit hollow and could have had a bit more depth.

Top Notch Robot Opera

Love this series. It has the perfect amount of masculine hero, science, comedy, and large scale politics.

Unique story with excellent narration

I’ve just finished listening to part two of the forever. So much happens in part two it’s hard to really be able to summarise however I really enjoyed the second part and felt the story was funny engaging alongside the excellent narration by Scott.

There are few trends which do emerge which I do find Annoying mainly the fact that John is able to overcome almost any challenge he’s presented with sometimes with hardly any effort at all which is highly unrealistic considering some of the threats. When he encounters a new threat or challenge you already know that he will overcome it there’s never any real danger. However I was compelled to listen and do enjoy the story it’s easy listening and I do recommend it I do question without Scott‘s ability to do such a varied and compelling character narration is the book would be as easy to listen to but it really is and well worth the time.

Great through and through!

I must commend CR for this hero (Jon Ryan) and the entire story(line) that changes in many ways across the series of books. This was a long series done right and loved every book and every character. Scott is an amazing narrator too and really brought these books to life.

Great sequel,

Brilliant sequel further building the universe established in Part 1. Part 2 succeeds in both developing further the main characters such as John Ryan introduced in the 1st book and introducing new characters and threats that I look forward to being established in part 3
