Summary

The Dream Daughter is a page-turning and unforgettable story of love and hope from bestselling author Diane Chamberlain.

When Caroline Sears receives the news that her unborn baby girl has a heart defect, she is devastated. It is 1970 and there seems to be little that can be done. But her brother-in-law, a physicist, tells her that perhaps there is. Hunter appeared in their lives just a few years before – and his appearance was as mysterious as his past. With no family, no friends, and a background shrouded in secrets, Hunter embraced the Sears family and never looked back.

Now, Hunter is telling her that something can be done about her baby's heart. Something that will shatter every preconceived notion that Caroline has. Something that will require a kind of strength and courage that Caroline never knew existed. Something that will mean a mind-bending leap of faith on Caroline's part.

And all for the love of her unborn child.

Somewhat ludicrous plot yet very engaging

I am a big fan of this author and after reading the plot synopsis I wasn't sure what to expect.
The plot is ludicrous but it alludes to this and runs beautifully into an engaging and nicely narrated story that I was more than happy to listen to. It went on perhaps a little too long and I got a teeny bit disengaged with the main characters constant aching heart emotional so perhaps not the best of the Authors work but certainly one to put on your list and enjoy the story telling.

The best story ever 🥰

This story has to be the best I have ever read. It’s heart warming, beautifully read and with a wonderful smidgin of fantasy. I’d never heard of Diane Chamberlain or Susan Bennet until I was tempted by the daily deal. It would be impossible for someone not to enjoy this book.
Just beautiful 😊

brilliant, one of the best!

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end, didn't want it to end actually. SO well written and narrated I was there with Carly in every zone. I'm just gobsmacked at the originality and the little details, they make this story one of my top 5 books (and I've listened to 100s). You will not regret buying

Good Story

Good story if a bit slow in places. Best narrator I have heard in a long time.
