Summary

Sergeant Davis had been in the US Marines for seven years when he stumbled into a knife fight outside the local bar. He ended up killing the wrong alien. Now, as a human who interfered with a galactic plot and killed a Confederation enforcer, his actions sentenced Earth to die. His only choice: desert the Corps and take the punishment on himself.

It seems like the Roswell aliens have been helping us all along. While the conspiracy theorists were right, there are alien lizards wearing people suits. The alien plan is to trick the Earth into breaking a law humanity knows nothing about so that they can sterilize the planet and take it for their own.

Join William Tell Davis, a Roswell alien, and a computer being called Marvin as they save Earth from a plot to destroy it, by creating a secret military force called the Legion.

Joy of a beginning !

The first of a trilogy.

I truly hope that David Nash complete trilogy will end up in my library,
Listening to his first book was truly fun and hard to put down right from the first page all the way to its ending.
There is some action, Artificial Intelligence and comedy mixed perfectly and in the right proportions.

When it comes onto narration C. J. McAllister mastered it perfectly and beautifully narrates each of the characters, creating a great audiobook !

“Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth”

Enjoyed listening to this space adventure. I felt there’s a lot of explaining and monologuing but the action parts are pretty good and the whole story and background is very well thought out.
There’s an hour or so near the very end where a document is read, which would have been best suited in an appendix as there’s still a short bit of story after and it nearly lost me, but I stuck with it.
Would happily listen to both narrator and author again.
This is my honest opinion of a free review copy.
