So sad it had to end.
Guy Gabriel Kay is such a wonderful writer, he really grabs you with every emotion throughout the story. These books are very well narrated. It is a real pleasure to listen to them after reading the books several times. I will definitely listen to these again.

Loved the story
I am in awe of Guy Gavriel Kay and in what he does in this trilogy. I loved the story, characters, and the pacing. Not so much the narrator of this audiobook.

Beautiful writing.
This third book is far better that the previous two.
The Summer Tree felt a little underdeveloped in the opening but got a lot better.
The Wandering Fire just felt like in a hurry to get this this final book.
And this third and final book sure does deliver. It is absolutely beautifully written and you really get the feeling that it is a well planned and storyline.

Good book terrible narrator
Absolutely ruined the book. Simon Vance seems to think he needs to do accents instead of acting. Half the characters sounded like Welsh villagers the others sounded like Scottish Farmers
Young’s characters sounded like old people with a bad throat. Gods sounded like pantomime villains
Awful awful awful

Awesome
This trilogy is one of the best I have ever read. It took a while to appreciate the voices the narrator used for some of the characters as the ones in my head were so different. This will always be the case for a much loved book. Overall this is a brilliant narration of a fantastic book.

A beautiful, heartbreaking, soul fulfilling end to the trilogy
The Darkest Road builds beautifully on the previous two hooks, taking the characters that are so brilliantly drawn, to their conclusions. It is so sad in places that I have wept every time I have read or listened to it, A wonderful listen and one of my favourite books of all time. Simon Vance reads it perfectly.
