A satisfying resolution to the previous Jaq Silver novel. The cast of exotic characters from Brazil are developed, by turns alarming, disgusting funny and loveable. From the crash bang wallop of the opening to the denouement, we are kept listening with pleasure and an ironic smile. Always the didact, this time Erskine gives us the economic geography of Brazil while delighting us with the awfulness of the popular television. A great story with brightly drawn locations an people, this continuation is the Silver saga is easy to recommend.
