Summary

A beautifully crafted novel by cherished writer Rosamunde Pilcher

Prue is intelligent, artistic, independent - and bored. Pressurised by her mother to make a conventional and dull marriage, she is delighted to escape London to be with her eccentric and bohemian aunt in Cornwall.

A chance encounter with attractive young artist, Daniel, on the seashore leads to an idyllic summer's day exploring the Cornish countryside and coast. But there is something troubling Daniel, and Prue - now deeply entangled - feels compelled to discover what it is . . .

Nostalgia meets romance

Step back in time with sweet, precious moments, tinged with nostalgia, sea drenched Cornwall described in Rosamunde Pilcher's distinctive style and with her precise attention to detail. Plus if you'd like a break from books talking about today's technology and popular jargon, this might be for you! Helen Johns tone is just right as narrator.

Rather a short story but with the usual well-

drawn characters I expect from a Rosamunde

Pilcher tale. A good plot and fun read .

Wonderful

Such a lovely story, which I thoroughly enjoyed..Always love the description of beautiful Cornwall, my favourite county..It was well read as always by Helen Johns. I wish it could have been a longer story but never mind...Onto the next Rosamund Pilcher book next.

Very good.

A different story to what I expected. I thought the presentation excellent and made the story very real.
