Summary
Falling in love can be complicated—especially when you’ve already broken up.
Ellie Shaw loves love. Unfortunately, she’s also an expert in break-ups. When a friend needs help with her ‘too nice to dump’ boyfriend, Ellie agrees to help. What she doesn’t expect is for American Dan to be kind, caring, to love dogs and look like a Disney hero. In other words, completely too good to be true.
She lets him down with grace and, encouraged by her friends, sets up Softer Landings, offering kinder, gentler break-ups.
A year later American Dan reappears in her life. With a new girlfriend. One who also decides he’s not the one for her.
The team hatch a plan to let Dan down easy, but while Ellie attempts to lead him gently away, real sparks start to fly. There’s just one big problem she can’t ignore. Can Ellie reveal that their romance is the result of an elaborate con without it feeling like a huge betrayal? Or is she about to star in the most awful dumping of all time?

Great but way too long
I had fun reading this one. It's set in the U.K. and has all the quirks and sarcasm of British people. Despite finding it 150pages too long, it was funny and an interesting story too.
Great narration.
On KU with free audio included.

Just what I needed
Really enjoyed the story and the narration from this book. I need a cheer up book and this did exactly that. The narration made me smile, Imogen did well with all the various character voices and it helped me keep in line with the story if I ever got distracted.
Loved the storyline, had some laugh out loud moments for sure was really good fun and I could totally relate to all of Ellie's thoughts and emotions.
Well written, well read, really loved it.

Good book but narrating too irritating to finish
Narrator is, in my opinion, overly theatrical, which makes it irritating to listen to. The volume also changes a lot as she speaks, so you are either deafened at times or can't hear others. It's a real shame as I like the book content. Will have to get it in Kindle version and read it instead.

Great performance, dull story
This story sounded like it would be interesting but I couldn’t get myself to like the protagonist and found the romance dull.
