About this listen

A collection of horror stories, including the terrifying best seller "A Child for the Devil"

"The Librarian"

When a man's body is found in an empty property, butchered, lying in the centre of a Satanic sigil, Detective Inspector Annie Jones has to investigate. A blood-soaked male found at the scene is the obvious suspect, but something far more sinister is at work.

"La Luna"

A couple's holiday is ruined when they realize something else is sharing their room.

A Child for the Devil (full-length novel)

When an author helps the police to identify symbols carved into two dead bodies, he becomes the focus of a murderous cult. He has to become the hunter to survive.

I'm only about halfway through this book, and I normally don't review at all, but there's something that's really irritating me. This is a book, written by an English author, and set in England, so why have they chosen an American narrator who can't even take the time to check how the British English words are pronounced?! Come on! Surely that's a rather big thing to overlook, especially in cases where mispronouncing the word actually changes it's meaning entirely!! I also don't understand why some English words have been substituted with their American English counterparts, i.e trousers for pants etc. To be honest this narrator really doesn't work for this book and the editor just doesn't work!!

Wouldn't be bad if the narration was good!
