Game changing read
A brilliant, thought provoking read on trauma. I personally think that anybody that has encountered trauma in their life should listen to this audiobook. I love how there has been a therapy recommended for each aspect of trauma and overcoming it. Although we will always be sad over what happened to us. Its relieving and reassuring to know that we can manage it and we are not alone. It is quite a heavy book but breaks from listening are essential however long them breaks may be. I found myself eager to come back and listen to more.

An immensely thought provoking insight into trauma
Absolutely life changing, the content is 10/10, and well worth the read, so glad I bought it because everything explained just makes so much sense and also explains SO much to do with my own life and C-PTSD experiences.. If you live with PTSD in any form, get this book, it's a hugely valuable resource and I'm sure will provide useful information. it's definitely given me so much more clarity to be able to ctake another big step in my healing journey.

Great insight, not very practical
This book helped me to understand my own trauma and that of other people in my life.
I expected some practical exercises after the explanations but there is instead some general guidance and encouragement to try mindfulness and a professional therapist.
There are some books which offer at home techniques to try but this is not one of them.

The Body Keeps the Score
Impressive and moving on many, many levels. Essential for all practitioners, and likewise, for anyone interested in, or having had, any experience of its subject matter. I am profoundly grateful to the author and all contributors to the work and research that has created it.

Required Rereading
This book fundamentally scientifically dispels the mythology of the body. Thanks so much for reconnecting us to the instruments of our bodies

Powerful ideas, well told
I found this book very interesting and informative, with data driven research and many suggestions for healing trauma. I found trauma stories slightly triggering sometimes, but understand why they were important parts of narrative.

so informative and easy to listen to
I've been meaning to listen to this for a while, and it has taken a while to get through it too, but as someone working with traumatised teens, there are so many nuggets of gold in here..as we try to increase the number of us fighting to bring change to the biggest public health issue of our time, this is a fantastic resource and learning aid
