Super actionable and really effective
Nick’s book is very actionable and to the point.
He lays out all the details of how to host a Nick-style cocktail party to get to know people and he makes it really easy.
I‘ve done a lot of hosting and I still found loads of gems - for example, I tried sending emails beforehand to get people excited in the way that he suggests, and it works so well.
His icebreakers also really work, and even though it feels uncomfortable to make people do them, I’ve found that people love it.

this makes it easy to make new friends
heard about this book on a podcast and first found it on scribd, but then realized it is also on amazon etc. so bought it there in audible and kindle format. read/listened to it once fully. then started going back to different portions to reference parts of it. very to the point. i like self help books. i like tactical books vs big-picture / philo books, so i really enjoyed this.
the author was also very kind to answer follow up questions i had, which really makes it like a async consulting of party-hosting!
i cannot wait to try the tactics out.
