It took about an hour for me to get into it, but once I did I was hooked. It's very soppy romantic but enjoyable if you like that kind of thing. the break up was a bit annoying and unrealistic but they always are in these type of books. on a positive, I loved the humour despite all the unnecessary swearing.

I was finding it hard to endure the constant swings from quiet voice to screeching shouty voice within each sentence from C.J. and dropped a star just because it was sometimes uncomfortable on my ears even when I had switched from headphones to speakers.

But I have persevered with this one as it is probably one of Max's funniest books I've 'read' to date. I did need to suspend belief around his initial reasons for asking her for the date. Other than that weak point the premise was pretty good

I do wish I had known that a few of the different series are actually interconnected as I've read those before this series, but this book appears to be the very 1st of all of them in the timeline. I will definitely be doing a reread in the correct sequence once I've got them all. TtB is currently my favourite of these books.
