Summary

Cassidy Martin is a country boy through and through. He loves his horses, his Lord of the Rings tourist business, and his isolated paradise at the foot of New Zealand’s Southern Alps. Not that everyone appreciates the seclusion he craves. Take his ex-wife, for example.

The sexy-as-hell guy on his latest tour might be whip-smart and push all of Cass’ buttons, but he’s about as country as a pair of Louboutins, and Cass has been there and done that. Broken heart with the T-shirt.

Stefan Hamilton doesn’t do "outdoorsy". He’s a city boy, born and bred. The closest Stef gets to the country is "Cowboy Night" at his favourite Auckland gay bar, even if the music makes Stef want to rip his hair out by the roots.

But Stef is also a hardcore Lord of the Rings fanboy. So, when he gets the chance to go on a horse trek to the iconic film locations in the Southern Alps, he sucks up his fear of the gigantic animals and his allergy to camping for the chance to let his nerd flag fly. But when his mate pulls out at the last minute, Stef is left to negotiate the horses, the wrath of mother nature, and an inconvenient crush on the cowboy leading the tour.

City meets country, and the sparks fly.

absolutely wonderful 👍

l love the way that Jay Hogan writes, she draws you into beautiful love stories and this one is no exception. Her descriptions of the New Zealand 'Tolkein coutryside' are so very well done. I'm no fan of the Lord of the Rings stories (sorry 😮), but this story made me want to rush out and buy the books!

Both Stef and Cass (be still my beating heart 😍), have been burned by past lovers, but in this beautiful romance they end up healing one other. This is such a sweet story, up there with this lady's best. The emotions leapt off the page, and there was so much love here between Cass and Stef throughout. Added to this, every single one of the characters are well written, and the dialogue was excellent.

I really loved the epilogue which finished the book off very well, it was both funny and swoonworthy. This is a story about fate, love, trust and ultimately finding a new happiness. The characters were strong and the writing flowed beautifully. Like I said previously, the book is also full of great supporting characters that add their own charm( I'm hoping Tomas will eventually get his own story. Take note Ms Hogan 😉).Quite simply, it's a beautiful must read!l/listen. I've got to say that Gary Furlong is fast becoming one of my favourite narrators. He does a cracking job here bringing Cass and Steph alive, totally loved it. Will certainly listen to it again ❤️

Loved this one, a great storyline and good strong main characters. I listened to this entire book in one sitting, just couldn't put it down. Well worth a credit

Another triumph

Another triumph from the pen of Jay Hogan and the voice of Gary Furlong. A match made in heaven. So looking forward to the next in the series.
