An absolutely gripping story as evidence switched back and forth in the pacy courtroom interchanged. Issues of race prejudice are aired and the stark reality of the confrontational system of justice that makes it so difficult for victims of rape to get a fair hearing. A riveting story narrated with verve.

Due to the themes covered this is a very difficult listen, and there were several points where I had my hand over my mouth in shock. it is hard to review this without giving anything away but it is very twisty and wow that ending!

I did get a bit confused at first who was who and struggled to remember by character name. although the narration was good, it also didn't help with remembering who was who because the narrator's put on different voices for the same characters (hard to explain).

overall though it is very dramatic and a good thriller.

A dramatic story

A really challenging story that addresses some sensitive issues without sensationalism. The ending is very unexpected but the journey is what makes this book so memorable not the ending (good though the final chapter is). Superb!

Brave, thought provoking and very real world

This book had me gripped fro. beginning to end. My opinions swinging from one side to another like a hanging basket in a heavy breeze. I didn't expect the final twist and neither will you. I'll guarantee it.
Brilliant writing, showing many faces of society, racism, sexism, so believable. I have already bought the authors next book
