Summary

Lily Montgomery’s parents have died, leaving Lily and her younger sister, Hope, to struggle with the debts left behind. Jobs are sparser than ever—and it seems Lily’s only option is to become a Mail Order Bride.

The matrimonial agency quickly matches her with Jacob Meyers, a rancher in Miles Gulch, Wyoming. Jacob is honest, hard-working, and kind—just the sort of man Lily should fall in love with at first sight. But their engagement lacks a vital spark – the kind of spark that lights Jacob's eyes when he looks at Lily's sister, Hope.

Lily supposes she ought to feel jealous. But is there any point in forcing a marriage when she doesn't feel any attachment? And then there's the matter of the tall, handsome sheriff of Miles Gulch - and the sparks that fly every time their eyes meet. If only Sheriff Dalton was inclined to marry a Mail Order Bride…

I can’t imagine loosing all you have becoming a mail order bride only to realize he’s not the one. The story was sweet and annoying.

Dini Steyn narration brings out the emotions, action, characters and plot. Perfect for this book.

When Lily’s parents die, she had her younger sister, Hope, to struggle with the debts. Lily’s only option is to become a Mail Order Bride. She is matched with Jacob, a rancher in Miles Gulch, Wyoming. Jacob is honest, hard working, and kind, but there is no spark. The only time Jacob seems to light up is when he looks at Hope. The attraction is felt on both sides. Lily is not jealous, as her heart is being taken by the handsome sheriff Dalton. Will the sheriff take an Mail Order Bride.

Endearing

My first Western Romance.!!
This is a very quick audiobook narrated by Dini Steyn who does a wonderful job at telling this story.
A mail order bride story that is really sweet.
Taking place in the town of Miles Gulch which is run by Sheriff Sam Dalton who is finding the festive season very hard to manage as he suffered a loss at Christmas time years ago.
Lily and her sister Hope had come from Boston to Miles Gulch to start a new life after losing their parents.
Lily had agreed to marry a man named Jacob Myers who she had been corresponding with, she had never met him,but this was their only chance to have a better life so she agrees with Jacob's proposal.
But nothing goes to plan because when Jacob comes to meet them at the train station,he is with Sam Dalton the sheriff and as soon as their eyes meet Lily has a connection with Sam and feels nothing for Jacob.
But Jacob seems to be captivated by her sister Hope mistaking her for his bride to be and Lily doesn't even mind.
From that encounter Lily and Sam cannot stop thinking about eachother but avoid one another, there is also a threat in town a gang of robbers terrorising local buisnesses, and Sam has that to deal with.
This is a story about falling in love unexpectedly with the person you aren't supposed to be falling in love with.
This is a clean Romance there is no steam, but I was good with that I know some people only want the steam..But I enjoy both kinds of romances.
Even though this is a short story Susannah Calloway has packed alot of information into the book,so it doesn't feel rushed.
I enjoyed it and the Narrator fit perfectly with the characters and story.
A very Charming book

Very Well Written!

Switched: Mail Order Brides of Miles Gulch

Written by: Savannah Calloway
Read by: Dini Steyn

Switched: Mail Order Brides of Miles Gulch was a well written audiobook. I love how the author; Savannah Calloway captured the whole sentiment around mail order brides, how the process usually works.

The characters involved seemed very real, that you could really imagine them. Without giving away any spoilers, I just loved how the storyline unfolded and I totally loved the ending.

The narrator Dini Steyn gave a EXCELLENT performance 👏
She pull it off on carrying both male and female voices. This was the 1st time I've heard her read, and I give her 5-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s!!!

I would say it's a must listen to audiobook if you enjoy these types of 📚
