Deep and meaningful book with a beautiful relationship and some realistic reactions and behaviour.

Perfectly put together, really well executed and sweet love story with huge amounts of emotional processing around family and relationships. Good to have more books where the characters happen to be gay, but it’s not the crux of the story.

I found N.R. Walker through the Spencer Cohen series and I really enjoy her writing style. Her characters are fully fledged and dynamic. The men in her stories aren't afraid to show emotions. Her writing often takes the listener on an emotional rollercoaster and wrings out all the emotions from them. I for one am happy to oblige. This story was no different. I loved both Sam and Israel and their beautiful friendship.

🎧 Joel Leslie has become one of my favourite narrators. His ability to bring the characters alive with his wonderful narration and to make the listener feel every emotion the author is trying to convey makes for a memorable experience.

This was a heart wrenching, beautiful and captivating love story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The HEA was delightful and the narration was perfection. This is the 7th book from this author and it had me sobbing buckets of sad and angsty and deliriously happy soppy snotty tears
