About this listen

Living in a community tucked between the undulating hills and the unceasing sky, Lara was a girl who could dream well into the darkness. Unlike the other kids, who would spend their days assisting their family on the town square or playing in the fields, she did not like rather, Lara spent her evenings on the tallest hill weaving silver light threads between her fingers into the heavens where they became stars. Not even Lara herself knew from whence her magic originated. She had only reached up into the darkness and felt something pull at her hands the first time it occurred. She realized she was supposed to weave the night as she tugged; a little thread of starlight tore from the heavens. Every evening when the world became quiet, she ascended her hill and started working. She woven the forgotten dreams of the village the requests spoken before sleep, the hopes borne on the wind into constellations. The need for a fisherman for the sea turned into a constellation of pearls in the heavens.
