I actually laughed out loud at one or two sections of this book. A fun book

Not as interesting a Murder/Mystery as the first 2, but still enjoyable, albeit quite slow moving… once again, the solution of the crime isn’t exactly deduced as, stumbled upon, but resolved in Fortune’s inimitable style.

Cassandra Campbell is an excellent narrator.

This is the first book I’ve listened to by Jana Deleon and I loved it! It hooked me from the start, the characters are well developed and fun - Gertie cracks me up! There are some hilarious laugh out loud moments.
The narrator fits my image of Fortune perfectly and I love the Southern charm.
I am now going to go back and start at the beginning and listen to them all!
Highly recommend this audiobook series.

Maybe the girl we all want to be. More than capable of looking after herself and her friends, but still looking for more , whilst taking on and humiliating the bad guys. Great fun. Working my way through the series.

Loving the Miss Fortune books... this is my 3rd in the last week... I can't stop listening! Lighthearted mysteries, humorous characters and a fabulously "Sinister" setting! Probably what would be traditionally described as a perfect beach holiday book. Great performance by Campbell, she definitely enhances the story! Now, I'm off to listen to book 4! 😉

Is there anything you would change about this book?

A rather pedestrian, sometimes boring, not very engaging - takes some time to get into, by which time you realise that it is never going to excite or enthral you. I think this book is written for little old ladies who don't mind plodding along.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

neither, just rather medioca

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

She was OK, probably suited a low-key production

Well, the title did - but it gives you the wrong impression of what to expect!
