About this listen

One night of complete surrender is all it takes.

Gareth Harris is Manchester United's reclusive star defender. He has control over all aspects of his life. But a lifetime of supporting his siblings and filling in for an emotionally absent father has taken its toll.

Sloan Montgomery is a clothing stylist whose world was turned upside down when she found herself pregnant and moving to Manchester with a man who was never supposed to be her forever. Now recently divorced and struggling with shared custody of her daughter, control is a fleeting concept for this American living in England.

Both Gareth and Sloan are in need of a release. A moment in time where they can forget about their pasts and family pressures...and just...surrender. No one could predict what happens when both of their defences are down.

Surrender is part one of the Final Harris Brother Duet and concludes with Dominate. This duet is a great listen on its own, but to maximize enjoyment, check out the first three brothers books in Challenge, Endurance, and Keeper.

A must listen

This is a great story I enjoyed listening very much. This is my first Harris Brothers book I have book one in my library so will be my next listen. The story follows Gareth a English Football player for Manchester United and Sloan his stylist. Sloan has a pig for a husband and when he does the unthinkable Sloan goes at it alone. Her relationship with Gareth turns hot and heavy but both are just looking for fun with no strings. I loved that this was a duet as I feel it brought the story to life. Will Watt is just the perfect male he did a fantastic job with the more London accent. Piper Goodeve has a voice I could listen to all day but I just loved Charlotte Cole she did all the female British parts and she was amazing she made me laugh a few times. I am looking forward to listening to the first books as you got to meet the rest of the brothers so I want to know each characters story. This story is left on a huge cliffhanger but I believe the next part is out very soon so not so bad. I really enjoyed the story and am glad I have been introduced to the Harris Brothers. A very enjoyable listen.

A must listen

I put off listening to this book for a long time. I didn’t think my emotions could take it. Plus I heard it had a power dynamic where the male gives up the control, and that isn’t my favourite. Add in that it is a duet, and I wasn’t in a rush.
THAT WAS A MISTAKE!
This duet is all the things. I loved it.
The power exchange actually worked perfectly for this couple, and I loved how they explored it. Gareth and Sloan are all the things. Although I wasn’t a fan of all the choices Sloan made, I love that Gareth was steadfast. And she did open herself up to love.
There are characters that will make you want to throw your device, I urge you not to do this. Stay with it, all will be okay.
The scenes between Gareth and his dad are some of the hardest hitting scenes and make the book more beautiful because of it. The entire Harris clan feature in this duet and as always bring so much laughter and family love.

Will Watt was perfection in this story. I thought he delivered in the earlier books, but this blew them out of the park. I loved that Charlotte Cole voiced the Harris bros women as I can’t imagine anyone else doing them justice. Piper Goodeve was great as Sloan, although I will admit to struggling at times, but not frequent enough to discredit the rest of her performance.

Brilliant!!

As always I absolutely love the audio versions of this series, again the narrators where perfect, the voices well suited to the characters. This book was no different and held my attention right until the end. It was full of emotion and had me fanning myself at times. Gareth Harris has stolen my heart as I knew he would and Sloan is so right for him. I can't wait to hear the next book .

OMG... What a roller coaster of feelings !!!

I loved Gareth since book one and now finally I get to have his story and what a story it is and don't get me started on the clifhanger that has me wanting a lot more. This is an amazing story that made me laugh and brought me to tears with all the raw emotion from the characters.
This book is beautifully narrated and the interchange between both narrators is amazing, they take you right in to this amazing world ( and I'm not even a football fan 🙈).
Can hardly wait for the next one 😍

Couldn't have been more perfect!

Amy Daws and her beautiful and emotional writing, the Harris brothers, those handsome, sexy footballers that have turned my head from the very start, and probably my favorite narrator out there with the most delicious British accent, Will M. Watt: What an explosive, magnificent mix! This was perfection from the first second to the last. Just… OMG! Oh, and did I mention that it’s duet narration? Seriously, this one has all the goodies I could ever wish for, as has the rest of this series. But SURRENDER has two, well, three things, the previous ones didn’t have: For one, it has the wonderfully talented Piper Goodeve lending her voice to Sloan, our American heroine, but it has also special appearances by the amazing Charlotte Fouche, who portrays the British female characters, as previously (did I mention I absolutely love this one??), and last but not least, it has a freaking cliffhanger!! Yep, you read that right, Gareth’s, the oldest Harris brother’s story, is not a standalone but a duet! Gaahh!! I’m elated and frustrated… all at once. Frustrated, because I didn’t expect it (nope, I didn’t read the synopsis, I never do with books by my favorite authors), elated, because I’m not yet ready to see the Harris brothers go…

Sooo… Gareth. Gareth has been somewhat elusive throughout his brothers’ stories. There’s not really much you know about him. At all. Well, apart from the fact that he isn’t collecting his fair share of notches in the bedpost like his teammates do – like you expect from a successful bachelor athlete like him – and that, different from his brothers, he is playing for Manchester. An enigma, but now it’s finally his time to shine!

And boy, there’s so much to this man that we couldn’t have dreamed of if we tried. It’s beautiful, it ugly, it’s different, and it’s definitely heartbreaking. Gareth surprised me, more than once (as did that freaking ending! But I digress…), and in Sloan he has found his perfect match.

Reaching the end of this book, there was still so much left unsaid, so many questions not answered, that the feeling in my stomach grew that this wouldn’t be the end to their tale. And then came the sledgehammer. And then it DID end! I mean, really??? Yeah, I still have one or the other bone to pick with Gareth Harris… keeping secrets like that…

DOMINATE cannot come soon enough!!

Packed with emotion as well as laughs!

I didn’t think that this series could get any better, but this duet was simply fantastic! Packed with emotion as well as laughs I honestly believe this is Amy Daws at her very best. I thoroughly enjoyed the dual narration. Easy 5 stars.

I Want More of Sloan & Gareth!

This was my first Harris Brothers book, and to be honest, I wasn't prepared for how gripping it was going to be! I'm still trying to calm my poor heart! Sloan and Gareth's story starts as friends and develops in such a timely manner, you really get to know them, understand them, and root for them! , Amy Daws has done her due diligence when it comes to the world of English football, and can be writing about any of the top footie players! The plot is well thought out, intriguing and HOT AF! seriously, I don't think there's a rating on the Scoville scale high enough! so you have been warned! I loved the duet narration, making it so much easier to follow, and a bit like a film more than a book! If you are a lover of The Archer's format, this is for you! There are a few dodgy accents in there, but not enough to put me off! Will Watt's voice is lovely, rich and his differentiation makes is easy to follow each character, as is Piper Goodeve! Her voice has a nice tone, making it a joy to hear! No Micky Mouse squeakers here! This book has left me wanting, no NEEDING more of the Harris brothers! I'm new to Amy's work, but I can hand on heart say, I'm now a fan! The book has heart, humour and a love story unlike any other! 5* all the way, now can't wait for the second part!

Fantastic audio,

This is the first Amy Daws book I’ve just had the pleasure of enjoying.
I’ve just listened to this on audio and it was fabulous I’ve not read the others in the series but I will be going to click these to catch up with the rest of the family.

I swooned laughed & I have to say listening to Gareth struggling with events from he was a little boy floored me, listening to it made it feel so much more real (and Will on the audio for Gareth was brilliant)

Sloan and Gareth’s relationship is complicated what they want and what they need is suppose to separated, friends with benefits but when the lines start to blur and things become clearer, on one side....
it’s time to put the ⚽️ in the other half!

What is more important holding the power and keeping everything in or putting your heart on the line and surrendering?

Just clicked the audio for book 1,
Amy Daws you have a new fan xx

DIFFERENT EMOTIONS

Here we have Gareth's story where we here a fair bit rembrence of their past & how much Gareth was there for their mother & there's such deep sadness in him. It's really emotional things his sister & brothers don't know & can't remember anything about her.
And he meets American Sloan who became his stylist. And she was married to a wealthy British man for 6 yrs when she became pregnant, but her 6 yrs of married life is as bad /worse than Gareth's life.
But after a 1 night with Gareth both of their lives changes....
