Summary

The thrilling epic fantasy sequel to No. 1 Sunday Times bestseller, GODKILLER.

War is coming, godkiller.

Gods are forbidden in the kingdom of Middren. Now they are stirring, whispering of war. Godkiller Kissen sacrificed herself to vanquish the fire god Hseth and save her friends, but gods cannot be destroyed so easily – and neither can godkillers.

Reeling from the loss of Kissen, young noble Inara and her little god of white lies, Skedi, seek answers to the true nature of their bond. The secrets they uncover could determine the outcome of the war.

Meanwhile, Elogast, no longer a loyal knight of King Arren, has been charged with destroying the man he once called friend. The king vowed to eradicate all gods, but has now entered into an unholy pact with the most dangerous of them all.

The kingdom is on the brink of destruction. What will they each sacrifice to save it?

So well constructed

Well constructed and performed, can’t wait for book 3! I am so invested in the stories of Inara, Skedi, Kissen and Elogast.

excellent narrator

Great involving story, enjoyed that things were never as expected and characters are fallible. can't wait for the next instalment. I have really enjoyed this narrator, amazing voice and pitches everything just right.

A superv, captivating sequel

This was an absolute pleasure following on from the first Godkiller book. The twists and evolution of the characters and stories was exceptional and truly developed the first book more than I could imagine. The world, characters and storyline are a refreshing and exciting masterclass in fantasy storytelling.

Good but disorientating

Coming off the heels of the first book in the series I was really excited to see where this would go. Overall, the story was good and I enjoyed it but the author jumped between characters so often that I struggled to follow exactly what the characters (especially Elo) were doing. Some descriptions were also confusing at points and I had to ignore that I couldn’t visualise what was being described.

A good listen but not as thrilling and gripping as the first in the series

The story is just so good

When you thought this is it, then there is another twist in the story. I usually don’t like the second books in a series, but this one is well written.

Fine but meh

I found the story pretty average, looking at the time to see how long before it was over because I was a bit bored. It's not a bad story but i didn't find it gripping at all
