The story was enjoyable enough but very slow to begin but unfortunately the narration made it so hard to listen to. it was stunted, gave the characters personalities that I don't think matched the story line, the accents were confusing and overall slowed down the pace of the book..

I was riveted by the story from start to end. I laughed and cried with the characters. I know both areas described in the story well and the story feels so realistic. Definitely not your traditional romance, but beautiful in the telling. I would definitely recommend this.

This audio book is full of wonderful characters – some good, some bad. The story draws you in from the beginning and never lets you down with the surprises that keep cropping up. I kept looking for excuses to leave real life and immerse myself in Kate Ryder's created world. The descriptions of Cornwall are lovely and make you want to be in the beautiful landscape, meeting these characters. The story is intriguing, with many obstacles for the characters to overcome and a surprise at the end - I'm so pleased there's a sequel! The storyline will stay with you long after you've finished listening.

Absolutely amazing love story and great twists. Beautiful narrative of the Cornish cove. However, the reader had these accents that were all wrong, just irritated me to the point of giving up on the audiobook? It was free so I did continue. Such a shame as it can make or break a good book.
