The narrator was wooden and robotic, the characters were all horrible and the story depressing. I kept it going till chapter 18 but just as I thought things were cheering up. It got worse! If you don’t want to feel depressed and anxious don’t bother with this book.
Big disappointment !

I don't normally write reviews but somehow this book made me cross!! Firstly, Im sorry Jane but please do not narrate your own books! The narration is slow and laborious. OK, now the story, there is so much repetition, I kept finding myself thinking you've already said this! I know it's only fiction but the author goes to great pains to explain alcoholism and its impact and the benefits of AA, but then theres the fairytale ending which just spoilt it!! it should have ended at the point she realised she was going to be OK by herself. Sorry but this was a very poor story and I just felt disappointed.
Repetitive and unrealistic...
