Developed through years of teaching literacy to Brazilian and Chilean peasants and laborers, Paolo Freire's influential Pedagogy of the Oppressed puts forth a theory of education fitted to the needs of the disenfranchised and marginalized members of capitalist societies. Very much in the Freirean sense of reproposing themes for better critical reflection, this study guide allows one who has read Freire to again discover and rediscover the generative themes of his work. Equally, this is a brilliant introduction to Freire's seminal work, easily accessible and rich with potent analysis. I would definitely recommend this book.

A fantastic way to follow Freire's work

The book give a good summary and analysis of Pedagogy of the Oppressed, which in itself has many interesting points from this perspective. I recommend reading this book and the full content book.
