Summary
Food is considered a necessity which we require to live. When does it become our nemesis? Sure, the necessity is there, but there are so many tempting foods out there that we know aren't good for us, but we can't resist the urge to indulge. Sure, you eat because you're hungry, but might you also be eating when you're stressed out? Had an exceptionally bad day at work? Or just bored? Do you know how to enjoy your food, not only for the sake of making you feel better? Those treats you like to indulge in aren't bad, they just need to be eaten in moderation.
Eating has grown to become an enjoyable pastime, gathering together on holidays and special occasions, bringing the family together, and creating family traditions with meals you prepared, passing on those secret family recipes to the next generation. Cooking simply to fulfill a need isn't the way the majority of people look at food today.
If you are emotionally eating to fill a void in your life, why do you turn to food? Do you realize you are even doing it? It can effect men as well as women. This audiobook is going to explain what exactly emotional eating is, why you do it and how you can control it. For the sake of your health, don't let food control you anymore—take back your control.

Well written and informative
Stop Stuffing Your Face, is well written and informative. I listened to both Jason Newmans books on Audible. The other being, How To Control Your Alcohol Consumption. I intend to download the written versions because there are facts and figures you could miss while listening to the audiobooks. Even if you don’t have a problem with eating or drinking too much. I would recommend taking the time to at least look up Jasons author page.

Informative and helpful
I found this book quite helpful and I'm positive that I will listen to it again (maybe several times) as it is very motivational. As someone who rarely reads anything twice that's quite an achievement in itself. It is well put together and expressed the points clearly and without judgement. Definitely left me with some points to ponder.
On the down side I wasn't keen on the narrator. While she does have a clear voice she does at times seem to be shouting the words, at other times appears to be a room with a slight echo or reverberation. I found the regular tongue clucking and gasping inhalation/gulping at the start of sentences rather distracting.
I hope there's nothing more after the Afterward which lists sources as I skipped to the end after a few of them. Useful for follow up maybe but boring to listen to unless you're really keen on further info.
I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Oh Boy do i Need this book!
As an emotional eater who finds it difficult to stop stuffing their feelings, I am always on the lookout for books on the topic to see if I can get those AhHa moments that will get me to change. I wasn't disappointed in this book. After the beginning which to be honest was stuff I already knew about emotional eating I found my first golden nugget. How to know the difference between emotional hunger and actual hunger, sounds simple but in the moment it's difficult to know. I am going to write it down on a card and have it with me for when the eating goblins strike. There are loads of good strategies to stop emotional eating in this book and I am going to write them down and test them out one at a time to see which ones work best. Well worth reading.
