About this listen
A CHILLING NORFOLK BROADS CRIME THRILLER!
A murdered policewoman, a convicted thief, and a priceless painting, lost forever, or left hiding in plain sight.
On the day an infamous thief, and callous murderer, is due to be released, DCI Tanner is given the task of overseeing the operation. But when the prisoner is kidnapped at gunpoint, only to be found tortured to death the very next day, Tanner finds himself asking why, especially when two men arrive from the National Museum, demanding to know where the priceless painting was, the same one the dead man had taken some thirty years before.
Set within the mysterious beauty of the Norfolk Broads, this fast-paced British detective series is a dark cozy Norfolk murder mystery with a slice of humour and a touch of romance, one that will have you guessing until the very end, when the last shocking twist is finally revealed.
Stokesby Grave is a totally addictive gripping crime thriller, the twelfth in a chilling series of serial killer audiobooks, ones which will rapidly convert followers of L J Ross, Faith Martin, Joy Ellis, Damien Boyd, J M Dalgliesh, and Elly Griffiths into David Blake devotees.

Great series
This is the twelfth book in this series so I am very invested in the lives of Tanner and his team. Once again David Blake delivers an interesting story which kept me listening well after my bedtime.
Fabulous narration by Jonathan Keeble.

A little unbelievable.
Slightly outlandish tale, and Tanners wife needs to be written out she is awful. The breaks between chapters is fractionally too long which is annoying. BUT, worth a listen because it is well written overall.

I have heard part of this story before?
When it came to the part about the nesting rare birds I think I seem to have heard a very similar narrative before in another book. I keep checking to see if this is a new book or a re/release.

John tanner’s sense of humour
I loved this story, like all the others, this didn’t disappoint. I love the authors humour, it runs through the whole series. I can’t wait for the next two chapters to be available on Audiobooks. The narrator really brings the characters to life

Another Brilliant Book in this Excellent Series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is one of my favourite police procedural series, and I always listen as soon as a new one is released. Just like the previous books, the writing in this one is excellent, with plenty of plot twists and fast pacing, paired with lots of dry humour and sarcasm, which always makes me laugh out loud.
The always amazing Jonathan Keeble does a fantastic job of bringing the writing to life.
Long may this series continue!

Pretty awful humour....far too corny
I've enjoyed this series but it's getting way too corny and predictable. Shame as Jonathan Keeble really is a wonderful narrator. I guess this is a bit of light entertainment.
