Summary

There are some places in this world that go far beyond any normal definition of “haunted”. These places are so evil and so diabolical that they become gateways to hell itself. The Fuller Farm is one such place.

It is said that old man Fuller conducted unspeakable acts, blood rituals, and human sacrifices, all in an attempt to gain the ultimate knowledge, the ultimate power. And then, he was killed - horribly murdered on his own land, leaving the house to stand as a vacant monument to his wickedness.

But once a door is opened, it can never really be closed. Now, the stars are right. The gateway is ready to once more unleash unspeakable horror upon the town of Harmony, Indiana. And this will be one Halloween that they will never forget!

Spook House is Michael West's latest novel based in Harmony, Indiana, joining Cinema of Shadows, The Wide Game, and short stories such as "Goodnight" and "For the River is Wide and the Gods are Hungry".

This is good old fashioned horror

I loved this so much, it really is like the best eighties horror without the boring slowness of the eighties, it's a riotous mix of monsters, haunted house and mad man.

All of the characters are fabulous, easy to get to know and friendly, I want to know more about them, am hoping there are more books from 'Harmony' due for release with Audible soon.

Officer Hicks (Hix?) is my favourite character, with his constant one liner thoughts of how his wife will receive 'the Call' , they cracked me up, I had to relisten to a few of them just for the laughs.

Nila is a fantastic narrator, I very much enjoyed listening to her tell this story, and will certainly look out for books narrated by her again.

I was lucky enough to receive a review copy (free of charge) and am delighted to leave this unbiased review of this honest to goodness monster of a book.

Fun Horror

Really fun horror book. Lots of gore and violence, funny in parts and even delves a little in to mythology and Lovecraft. I loved the spiderdogs (although I did keep chuckling whenever they were mentioned as I kept thinking of that video where people have dressed their dog in a spider costume and let him wander the halls).
My second book by Micheal West, and have to say, I think he is one to keep an eye on.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request via Audioboom and have voluntarily left this review.
