Zunehmend tauchen die Sozialwissenschaften im Feld der Nachhaltigkeitsforschung auf und Sozialpolitikerinnen wollen das Klima schützen. Der Essay Soziales Klima durchmisst das Feld der Sozialen Nachhaltigkeit mit den Mitteln einer ganzheitlichen, an Hegel und Parsons informierten Soziologie. Der Vorschlag ist der menschenrechtsbasierte Garantismus, eine vierte Formation neben Liberalismus, Sozialismus und Konservatismus.
