Respecting Sacred Ground
This book opened my eyes to the spiritual significance of certain sites in the Southwest. I didn’t realize how many places in these parks are sacred to Native American tribes. It taught me the importance of approaching those areas with respect and awareness. That context made the landscapes feel even more powerful. It’s something I’ll carry with me on every future trip.

perfect for planning and daydreaming
I started this audiobook just to get ideas for an upcoming family trip, but I ended up listening to the whole thing in one go. It had just the right vibe—laid back but packed with cool nuggets. Even my teenager asked to rewind a part about slot canyons, so that’s saying something!

For Southwest National Park Explorers, A Must-Have
Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore these stunning landscapes. I recently picked up this guide before a road trip through Arizona and Utah, and it quickly became my go-to resource. The detailed descriptions of each park, along with practical tips on hiking trails and camping spots, made planning so much easier. I especially appreciated the insights into lesser-known sites, which added unique stops to our itinerary. It's informative without being overwhelming, and the beautiful photographs truly capture the essence of the Southwest.
