About this listen

When Fletch learns there are four ex-cons on the loose in his part of the county, little does he suspect that one of the scruffy and very dangerous men will claim to be the son he never knew - a son about whom he was never even told, in fact.

But when a muddy and bedraggled young man accosts him in his study, it doesn't take our wily reporter and investigator long to surmise this kid might well be his son. When Fletch meets the kid's compatriots, he wonders how either of them is going to get out of this situation unscathed.

This one is set many years later. An interesting plot - but less of the witty conversation.

This one was good but not as good as the first eight book's, which is sad for the series.

Good, but

I am devastated to see the end of an era. Even though I "read" this when Cellphones are now a thing and on an "app" I still immensely enjoyed while being so sad that this is the last one. I wish Blackstone would find other authors to carry on this legacy, I have come to love and depend on Fletch. Please dont let him go

Sad end of an era

This bears little relation to the early Fletch novels, which I enjoyed; quite disappointing. What seemed like an interesting plot unravelled quickly. Glad this wasn’t my first Fletch novel, I wouldn’t have delved further into the series had it been.

If you enjoy Fletch, don’t bother with this one
