About this listen

Stan has never let his blindness hold him back, but he’s beginning to realise his love life is keeping him from moving forward.

He can’t remember a time when he wasn’t in love with his best friend. Rafferty is everything to him—his partner in crime, his confidante, and the person who understands him best. But Rafferty is incapable of reciprocating Stan’s feelings.

As a successful wedding planner, Rafferty is passionately committed to helping newlyweds begin their happily-ever-afters, but after a rootless childhood he’s equally determined not to seek his own. How can he trust in love and marriage when so many of his brides and grooms are repeat customers?

Stan is the glue that keeps the pieces of Rafferty’s life together, and as such Rafferty has always kept Stan safely in the friend box where he can’t lose him. However, lately that conviction has wavered and now Rafferty is bursting with complicated feelings for his best friend. The timing couldn’t be worse because Rafferty has realised he’s in love with Stan just as Stan is moving on.

From bestselling author Lily Morton comes a friends-to-lovers story about realising you have the perfect man when you’re on the brink of losing him.

This is the second book in the bestselling Confetti Hitched series, but it can be listened to as a standalone.

Blindness is not easy

Another great listen from Liky Morton. This is the second in the Confetti Hitched series so there are some familiar characters that pop up from time to time (that said it would be every bit as enjoyable read out of order). The usual mix of snarky characters, a good bit of humour and plenty of feels. Joel Leslie does a fantastic job with the narration.

Well worth a listen

I really really love reading stories about childhood friends falling in love. Stan and Raff were wonderful together. They had great chemistry and their banter was very entertaining. I just wish they had gotten together earlier in the book or maybe that the book was a little bit longer. I wanted more cute moments with them as couple. I also really liked Stan's family, they were all brilliant.
A fun summer read, with great representation, and beautiful writing. I loved the narrator, he was perfect for this book and really brought the characters to life. Loved the accents and great audio quality.

Great story

Well read humorous romance, enjoyed revisiting the world and characters of Confetti Hitched, and loved the main characters and their romantic storyline as it developed.

Lily Morton’s stories never disappoint and Joel Leslie’s performance made this story even more special.

Rafferty and Stan love each other but they don’t let the other one know. When Stan gets engaged it jolts Rafferty enough that he’s finally ready to let Stan know. If only Stan’s ex-boyfriend didn’t go stirring up trouble.

Best friends to lovers!

Rafferty and Stan are best friends for about 20 years, they share a flat, Stan is in love with Rafferty and Rafferty is afraid that he'll be like his parents, that are on their 4th-5th marriage, so he avoids relationships. But they have slept together alot, with the understanding that if either found their person, they'd stop. So Stan got himself a boyfriend. A boyfriend that was extremely unlikable with the way he treated Stan but he made Stan laugh so he was endured. WHY?! That was my question throughout the story. Why did Stan, a very independent person, had someone like Bennett as a boyfriend.

I get to a point Rafferty's fears about treating a potential partner like his parents treated theirs, but he practically was raised by Stan's parents so he had a healthy, loving relationship modeled to him, so his fears were a bit baseless.

Loved the secondary characters that were Leo and Patrick, whose wedding Rafferty was planning, and Stan's family.

I love Joel Leslie but I think I need to step back from listening to him performing Lily's books because his voices for secondary characters are specific and while listening here, it all felt to familiar and same and like I was listening at the same 3 other stories of Lily's.

Only liked it... at times
