About this listen
A story of mix-ups, mess-ups and making the most of second chances, this is a novel from international sensation Jojo Moyes, author of Me Before You and The Giver of Stars.
Who are you when you are forced to walk in someone else's shoes?
Meet Sam...
She's not got much, but she's grateful for what she has: a job she's just about clinging on to and a family who depend on her for everything. She knows she's one bad day away from losing it all - and just hopes today isn't it...
Meet Nisha...
She's got everything she always dreamed of - and more: a phenomenally rich husband; an international lifestyle; and...she's just been locked out of all of it after her husband initiates divorce proceedings...
Sam and Nisha should never have crossed paths. But after a bag mix-up at the gym, their lives become intertwined - even as they spiral out of control.
Each blames the other as they feel increasingly invisible, forgotten, lost - and desperately alone.
But they're not.
No woman is an island. Look around. Family. Friends. Strangers.
Even the woman you believe just ruined your life might turn out to be your best friend.
Because together you can do anything - like take back what is yours...

Emotional
Thoroughly enjoyed the story. Did think the ruse was overly elaborate... And then I got it. I found the injustices and frustrations of the lead characters surprisingly emotional as I listened

Worth the read ( or listen to)
I liked the story even if in parts it got very unrealistic and silly. I enjoyed listening to the audio as I was decorating and was compelled to keep listening. Had I of read it, i think I would have got bored in places and found it hard to pick it back up. This is my first Jojo Moyes book and will be listening/reading more of her books.

Most fun I've had for ages
I loved this, the most fun I’ve had reading something for a quite a while. Despite her unfair and misogynistic ‘handbag fodder’ label, I’ve been a Jo Jo fan since ‘Me Before You’ and its sequels. I didn’t didn’t enjoy her last two, which were ventures into historical US and Aussie themes and felt a bit like your favourite band going all experimental on their fifth album. This is most definitely a return to form. It does what it says in the title, when a bag mix-up at the gym gifts dowdy 40-something Sam New York socialite Nisha’s outrageous designer stilettos. Both the shoes and subsequent events change their lives, for better, worse and then better. I laughed out loud from the first pages and frequently thereafter, felt for the characters (90% of the nice ones are female - a reflection of the real world, according to the females in my household) really brought to life by Daisy's narration, which was spot on; and was gripped enough to finish it in a couple of days. Give it a go. I think, no matter how you identify, you’ll enjoy it.

Another winner from Jojo Moyes
A great combination of characters, emotion, good winning in the end and a story which drew me in and I couldn’t put it down.

Excellent narration, brought the book to life
A good story though slightly disappointing ending….I wanted more detailed happy ever after for each woman. A great story of evolving friendships and sisterhood. The narrator is spot on…well chosen, I couldn’t imagine it read any other way and I would urge you if you have the choice to listen rather than read.
