Desde el paso del tiempo y la pérdida de la juventud que escuchamos en las estrofas de “El viajero”, hasta la mágica descripción alegre pero sobria de un paisaje castellano en el que la naturaleza va a jugar un papel decisivo en “Orillas del Duero”, para llegar a los niños cantando mientras juegan no siendo sus canciones otra cosa más que sus sueños, en “Los cantos de los niños”, en ésta obra el poeta nos da su visión de la vida.
