Chance & Rowan
One night stands are one of my fav tropes and this one was great!! Rowan and Chance catch each others eye in a New Year’s party and have a great no strings attached time but fate was having none of that!! Throw a kind of friends to roomies to lovers vibe with some grief, feelings of inadequacy, an unexpected pregnancy and a teenager to the mix and tadaah you get Single Chance!!
This book has so much packed into it and was incredibly relatable. Both main characters had their own baggage to sort out and their growth was immense: Rowan was left alone in the world, in debt and pregnant but Dragonfly Lake was her new beginning; Chance was a widow single dad of a teenager, with family that never cared for his existence but Dragonfly Lake was his new beginning too.
Sebastian York and Emma Wilder voiced Chance and Rowan and they were perfect at bringing each of the character’s personalities to life.

Single dad, Small town, Accidental pregnancy, Forced proximity
This is a romance I’d definitely classify as being on the sweeter, light hearted side. Rowan moves to a small town looking for a fresh start after taking care of her last remaining relative. She lets loose and has a ONS. Of course fate steps in and forces her and single-dad, Chance, into an unexpected relationship. I liked these characters and the found family vibes in the small town. Ultimately, the chemistry between the main characters was a bit lacking and the romantic relationship felt more rushed than anything. I did enjoy the family feelings through the story and the epilogue was satisfying.
I was blown away by this narrative performance. Sebastian York is an all-time favorite of mine and really brings life to his characters. Emma Wilder will make you forget this is a dual style narration. Her portrayal of the MMC and side characters is phenomenal. I am so happy that I experienced this one on audio!!

Rowan and Chance!
When Rowan’s parents passed away it was her grandparents who were there for her, so she put her life on hold when her grandmother needed her. Now that her grandmother has passed away, she has come to Dragonfly Lake for a fresh start. She meets Chance at a New Years Eve party, and they spend an unforgettable night together.
Chance is a single father to his teenage daughter Sam who is enjoying a rare night out. When he meets Rowan, the sparks fly however he never expected to see her again beyond that night. He is about to realize that the surprise is on him when not only will they be working together but they are about to become roommates as well.
Not only is Rowan who Chance needs to overcome his past, but she is who Sam needs as she understands her in a different way from Chance. Emma Wilder is a perfect choice for Rowan as you can feel the wide range of emotions she is experiencing while Sebastian York portrays both the charm as well as the insecurities of Chance.

Single chance is the third standalone book in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series. Chance and Rowan met at a 80’s themed event on New Year’s Eve. They were dancing and vibing. One thing led to another, and they decided to enjoy every moment like it was their last. They expected to parts ways and never cross paths again. Rowan was new to town and was looking for a job. She got hired on as an event manager for a brew company. Little did she know that her new coworker was going to be Chance. Chance is a single dad to a rebellious fourteen-year-old girl. He had no plans for dating in his future. When Rowan and Chance realized they would be working together they decided to just remain friends and not cross that line again. Two months down the road Rowan started feeling strange and sick. Her girlfriends asked if she could possibly be pregnant? Things may have just gotten more complicated for Rowan and Chance. This book ends with a HEA. I really enjoyed it.
Emma Wilder and Sebastian York did a fantastic job narrating this book.

Rown and Chance!!!! So good!!!
Everyone deserves that kiss at midnight on New Year's Eve, right? When Chance and Rowan meet at a New Year's Eve party, the sparks fly. A night of passion, the two part and life goes on. Until Rowan walks into her new job and who is there but Chance? Now the two will be constantly bumping into each other! What is the chance? They get more than that one night, but where will it go? I loved this addition to the Single Dad's of Dragonfly Lake series! Chance is a sweet man! The interaction with his teenage daughter is spot on, dealing with that age is not easy. His feelings for Rowan are evident, but his head messes with his heart! Rowan is a strong woman. Starting over, and now a brand new life, she finds her niche both at work and at home. This is a fabulous listen, easy on the ears, and the story is low angst and romantic. I enjoyed this!
Storytellers like Sebastian York and Emma Wilder don't even need to be discussed, but their take on these characters is so perfect, I have to say it. York is Chance, and his warmth is spread through his voice. It's like Rowan is getting hugged all the time! Wilder plays all the emotions of a woman, from the hormones to love. They bring this story alive and it's fantastic.

This was sweet & swoony and filled with some of my favorite tropes!
Chance is such a great guy, he is kind, caring, funny,
compassionate & struggling with being a single dad to his teenage daughter.
You can see the love and worry he has for her, and he feels like a complete failure. (Don’t we all 😅)
Rowan is grieving, she is in a new town, starting from scratch while still grieving a huge loss.
She is smart, caring, & kind.
These two are so ridiculously sweet together, they are navigating a lot of things, going through major changes & emotions.
I really love the openness & honesty, the compassion for each other’s difficult pasts.
This was a sweet small town, found family romance that was filled with friendships, parenthood, & an appearance by our favorite escape artist llama.
Sebastian York & Emma Wilder did a fantastic job narrating this story and bringing their love to life.

Sweet and passionate!
This is the third book in the Single Dads of Dragonfly Lake series, a small town romance. I loved it. Chance and Rowan's story is beautifully written, sweet, passionate, and heartwarming. Chance, a single dad, is handsome, and caring. Rowan is beautiful, strong, and smart. They are perfect together. I liked the friendship in the story. This is a beautiful story. Sebastian York and Emma Wilder did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. I highly recommend this series.
