About this listen

Enter the fantastically Wundrous world of Nevermoor - perfect for all adventurous young listeners. Morrigan Crow has a dangerous choice to make in the fourth of this bestselling, award-winning series ...

Praise for Nevermoor: 'Exciting, mysterious, marvellous and magical ... quite simply one of the best children's books I've read in years' Robin Stevens, author of Murder Most Unladylike.

In the magical city of Nevermoor, long-buried secrets are coming to light, and Morrigan Crow's life is about to turn upside down.

When Morrigan is invited into Nevermoor's wealthy Silver District, she discovers a world of extravagance and a family mystery she's eager to unravel. She could never imagine where it will lead: a white wedding, a golden dragon and a red pool of blood.

Embroiled in suspicion and danger, Morrigan leaps head first into a murder investigation, while also grappling with her ever-growing Wundersmith powers. And although her friends are there to help, she fears that could change if they learn she's keeping a terrible secret of her own.

As shadowy forces awaken in Nevermoor, can Morrigan find a killer and solve the mystery in her own past ... before the clock strikes midnight?

Jessica Townsend weaves a spellbinding tale of magic and mystery in this thrilling new installment of the Nevermoor series, winner of the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and with film rights sold to Fox.

I've been reading the nevermoor series since it came out, this was the first time I tried listening to a book instead of reading it and it was an amazing experience, the story is extremely fun, keeping us engaged at every moment and the acting and music really adds a lot of personality to the characters

An Amazing experience

My comments:

This was well worth waiting for. I am not surprised this is being compared to series like Harry Potter and similar series. Each book is getting better and better and we're learning more about Nevermore and Morrigan with each book.

In this book we learn more about Morrigon's past and I especially liked the way her friends from the unit played more of a roll in this book. I also loved Miss Cheary and the way she always had morrigan's best interests at heart. I love learning about the wunderous arts a lot more and how Morrigan is learning how to use her powers a lot better. I'm looking forward to more books in this wonderful series and finding out more about Morrigan and how she'll fair when she graduates and what she'll end up doing. It's difficult when you have a skill that's hated and I hope one day Morrigan will be able to restore the wundersmith art and get it respected again. Morigon is a very plucky character.

This was well worth the long wait.

Loved to be submerged into Nevermoor for this long story :) Little bit sad that the hotel and Jupiter were not as prominent, but logical due to the story. Hopefully that will be back in full swing in the next iteration :)

Loved every second of it!

Jessica please write us another story so very soon! Intriguing how the characters histories intertwine with the other books! You are brilliant!

I've thoroughly enjoyed the first 3 books and the fourth did not disappoint. Highly recommend them, both in written form and read by the brilliant Gemma Whelan. I've always loved a good whodunit and to weave one into the Morigan series was a real treat. Thank you Jessica Townsend.

Absolutely love this series.

absolutely adore this series and this one was no different.

as others say though, the narration isn't perfect this time – the character Holliday Wu has a completely different voice to the last book, and Margot introduces herself as Margaret the first time we meet her (which isn't what the book says). when Gigi and Dario are talking in the boat, some of their conversation is repeated with Gigi having a different accent

love love love

It took FOREVER for this title to finally come out, but it was worth the wait. I loved it. It’s the best one yet. I can’t wait for book 5!!!!!

Best one yet.

Loved the story. It’s a shame the production had
changed the accents of some key characters as it really affects the enjoyment. For example Holliday was Australian in previous books and is now has a posh English accent. Still a great listen and brilliant storyline.

At long last the next book and great story

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD

fun, childlike wondrous and adventurous, whimsical, positively and heartwarmingly cringy at times. the one thing I personally dislike is the overly overacted performance of the narrator for all 4 books. the different voices and accents are just a tad too much for me and take me a while to get into. but that is a personal thing, it's a great listen non the less 🥰

another wonderous addition to the series
