This is a bit different, written for amusement of the reader as much as for the literary content. A gentle, amusing tale. Generally narrator was good, but I agree with another reviewer regarding the female voice impressions - give it up, narrator, it is parody and sounds ridiculous outside of a Punch & Judy show. There must be better ways as other narrators don’t do this.

First time I've read books by this author the characters were likeable apart from the villains of course an interesting storyline and an entertaining way of telling the story

Decent storyline. Well narrated. Still waiting to be flummoxed by the big, unnecessary words I read about in one review. The only thing I would say is that it's not particularly in depth but the characters were good and I enjoyed the story. Give it a go.

The author has a lovely way with words and a good vocabulary. Clearly read with changes if voice fir the different ‘players’. Not massively exciting but a good listen and I do recommend it.
