Summary
Filled with bits of humor and sprinkled with crazy struggles and raw emotion, Searching for Sadie, is a romantic adventure about a young woman trying to pick up the pieces of her broken heart by starting over, alone, in the wilds of Alaska.
After the unexpected death of her young husband, Sadie wants nothing to do with people or modern society, ever again. She's done. Angry. Over it. So, she jumps, headfirst, into the seclusion of an island in Southeast Alaska, to be by herself and rebuild her life.
Living so remotely turns out to be a lot different than she expected though. She quickly learns that she has bitten off a bit more than she can chew.
Confronted with bears, starvation, sickness, bad weather, and old wounds, the stubborn and clever Sadie is forced to rely on the help of others. She might even find love. With a little bit of romantic comedy, and some overdue family healing... Searching for Sadie, throws in a twist of off-the-grid living into the women's fiction book world.

Sadie is a young widow, who is done with civilisation and men. The only way she can fight the pain is to move to the Alaskan wilderness. That's where Sadie meets Flip and his daughter, Jenny. There's no way in the world she needs a man, especially not a man with a kid, especially a man helping his ex overcome her addiction to drugs. Between fighting her feelings and just wanting to be left alone, Sadie finds herself again.
I loved the narration of Arielle Joria, she brings out the humour, action and emotions. Perfect
