Summary
Two best friends and a bakery! Secrets swirling in with the rain. You don't want to miss this deliciously fun story.
The storm of the season is rolling in to Seashell Bay, but that isn’t the only thing that has Piper and Sam blown away.
When photos and secrets from the past start popping up left and right threatening Sam’s mother, the blame is placed squarely on Sam’s shoulders.
Now, Piper and Sam are drowning in questions while the town is flooding with danger. Throw planning a surprise going-away party at the Ooey Gooey Goodness Bakery into the mix, and it’s a recipe for disaster!
Will Piper and Sam figure out who is spilling secrets before the scandal spirals and sinks Sam’s mother for good? Or have the girls finally bitten off more than they can chew?

What secrets exist in a family ...
Savory, Sweet & Scandalous is #4 in the Ooey, Gooey Bakery Mystery series by Katherine H. Brown. Piper and Samantha get pulled into several different mystery when secrets are unearthed around town. I love the characters and their friendships and how they always are there for each other. I like the way the back stories develop through the books. The narration by Bianca Pierson is very good. She brings the characters and story to life.

Happy endings
I enjoyed this book but did feel like the mystery side to the story got a little bit lost with everything going on. There was no real mystery instead lots of little happening, that when put together was interesting and you got to know the characters a lot better. So from that point of view, you need to have read or listened to the previous books to get the full enjoyment out of this one, it also continues on from the last book, with Sam and Griff having to date the people of there mother's choosing. There's still lots of humour which balances out nicely BeeBee sad tale of being a victim of human trafficking. Molly and Glady's have a much better time of it with the drama and that's just a few of the great characters that I love listening all about in this fun entertaining cozy, who needs a dead body to investigate? just don't listen if you are hungry or on a diet because there is a lot of treats whipped up. I liked it all happened during a tropical storm, power cuts and fallen trees added to the drama. up
Pipper and Sam have a lot going on, first Glady is asking for time off. Was the flowers she received break up flowers and she just wants to be left alone? Second Molly, there teenage assistant, has been accepted to an art college and is leaving. Can they plan a going away party before she leaves? Sam's mother has chosen matching out fits for them all to wear at the dinner. Can they find a reason not to go or take the people they really want to go with? At the same time embarrassing photos of Sam mother the mayor's wife, or when she was younger and more care free, is finding it way into the newspaper and she is on the war path. Can they find were the photos are coming from and who would have a grudge against her? And all this while a tropical storm batters the beachs and threatens to flood the small town.
I love the narrator. I liked the first narrator but now I have heard Bianca voicing the characters I think I have found my narrator of choice. The voices sound perfect for the characters I picture in my head.
