Not Savage but definitely enjoyable
This was an enjoyable listen. I wouldn't consider this a "bully mafia" romance as it is labeled. Nero belongs to a mafia family but beyond a heist that he plans he is not really conducting family business or involved in it - at least not in this book. Also, there is no real bullying going on at least not between Nero and the heroine Camille. So I wouldn't really consider this either subgenre. Lastly, it is not really a full on enemies to lovers trope either as they don't spend enough time not liking each other.
So what is it then? It is hard to categorize exactly as it incorporate too little of each of the aforementioned genres and tropes to be any of those things. It may be hard to classify but it is a good listen. I liked both Nero and Camille and thought they were really good together. They both have a lot in common even though they come from different backgrounds. They are both tough , car loving enthusiasts who love their families and would do anything for them. They find in each other someone who perfectly complements them and wants the same things from life. Their love story is only complicated by outside forces and people that want to use them for their own purposes and agenda.
So overall there is very little drama between Camille and Nero but they bond together to take on others. This was a low angst listen and nice narration by both narrators for an easy Sunday listen.

Absolutely brilliant
This family gets better and better the more I get to know the characters. Sophie has written such a great storyline that is intriguing as well as entertaining. With lots of action to keep you entertained throughout I didn’t want this book to end. A fantastic performance from Lee and Michael.

Messy love
I adore this series and this book does not disappoint! I love that the POV goes back and forth and Lee Daniels and Michael Gallagher are excellent in their portrayal of Camille and Nero. Nothing like a a-hole character that manages to redeem himself and the way these broken people get together warms my heart. ❤

The Bad Boy finally meets his match
Nero Gallo that second oldest of the Gallo family finally meets his match in Camille Riveria she loves cars and fixing them because she helps run her fathers’s garage they went to high school together but did not cross each other’s path a lot. Camille is dealing with a sick father and a young brother who is determined to ruin his life by selling drugs. She gets caught in between an ambitious cop and a drug dealer that does not care about anything but making a profit. Nero offers her an escape their relationship develops from a semi friendship into full blown love. Loved these characters and I love the Gallo family. This series has been amazing can not wait to listen to more of these stories.

Another great story by Sophie Lark!
Absolutely love Camille and Nero, and this performance really brings their whole story to life. I’ve listened to this twice already. Highly recommend!

MY FAVE
I love everything this author writes! But so far this one was my very favorite! It had romance, suspense, sexy times and just all the things I love!!! I was kept on the edge the whole time.
