About this listen
Here are all four novellas in Darcy Rose’s thrilling paranormal romance series.
Book 1: Eden
I’ve spent the last eight years bullied by my own pack for being half human. Now I’m eighteen and finally ready to leave this hell hole. When the clock strikes midnight I’ll be free—or so I thought. Because instead of finding freedom, I find myself mated to the alpha’s son.
Book 2: Mate
No one ever told me that finding your mate was such a pain. Eden is nothing like I expected, and everything I never knew I needed. The more I get to know her, the more conflicted I get. What if my parents were wrong about her? If she really is my mate, then I have not only failed her, I have failed myself and my entire pack.
Book 3: Bond
Apparently rejecting me was not enough heartache to put me through. All I’ve ever wanted was to have a peaceful life. Why can’t he just leave me alone and go back to his precious pack? He wants me to embrace the bond between us, but I’m not ready to forgive him for what he did, and part of me thinks I never will.
Book 4: Home
Just when I thought we had it all figured out, someone takes her from me. I have to get free. I have to find her and bring her home before it’s too late. Before my mate is lost forever.

Great story
Really enjoyed this story but my only criticism is that this is 4 books thankfully in one each book was far to short and I wished the story had been told a little more.

Too short each book only 1hr long
This book had potential to be really good if the story line of each book had gone more in-depth and complex . He overall story line was good but as each book was only just over 1 hr long it was more surface level story good narration though and if free to listen worth a read

Could have been longer
Could and should have been longer a more detailed
That was 1 book not 4.
More info on way no one liked the witches. What happened to the pack once he left?
what happened to Luna and her family?
That would be book 2.

Emotional listen
Eden and Paxton could not be more different, he is the Alphas son she has been shunned by the pack since her parents death. Now on the verge of gaining her freedom fate has made he Paxton's mate. This is an emotional read and Eden is put through the ringer by the pack, She finds it very hard to trust Paxton. This is a great listen Eden is a strong woman and she will need all her strength to survive.
The duel narration is excellent.

One dimentional
I am probably not the target demograph. Bland story with aggrevating characters. The construction of how the magic in this world works is given barely any show and no tell. No character growth happens. any and all changes in character happen as a result of "the bond".
FMC is a doormat. MMC is a [insert insult], both are as dumb as doorknobs. All other characters are cardboard cut-outs.
This was just someone's fantasy, so I won't criticise the whole concept too harshly. Narrators were excellent though, and the only reason I got through it.

Could of been good
So what...it not for the bond or and her wolf he would still see her as disgusting 🙄
Nah, this is the type of insta love I've read bad comments about. It's too simple and way too annoying 😑 😒
I gave a star because it was well written in some parts. If only the bond was explored more, fought against more. I mean how does she know how the mate bond work but not how to complete it. And how does she know it's 8 inchs!
It's sloppy dark, and doesn't explore the feelings or world more. Even the bullying is not explored enough. One or two memories when she's 10 is not enough to show what pain she went through. Just like losing her virginity with a good time should not be enough to allow Paxton back in.
The different POVs makes it worse. Instead of Paxton learning to like Eden for who she is, noticing good things about her like her heart or the way she does something. Nope none of this, just he did not notice her beauty with the digust blinding him. I mean seriously!!! And how he still thinks she has an attitude, when she is supposed to fall at his feet being grateful for him wanting to help her.
Yea I'm ranting. This is just a fail of a shifter insta fated mate book. Has all the wrong classics without exploring anything about it. Just fail! The spice is ruined because just because the body says yes, if the mind says no it's still no, mate or not. The illustration it's okay is just fail! He even says he's wolf would take over and not be gentle. I mean come on, her wolf should be part of her soul and therefore know to protect her, yet she says her wolf wants it too...what kind of wolf part of your soul allow this without making sure she will be safe.
Nah just Nah!
Ends in a HEA, although that just seems lacking too.

how can this seriously be a plot that works?
Nope. When the pair starts with a non responsive mate to a bullied future mate, I know the story is rarely going to be good. Being a decent person is part of my requirements for being a lead character. And when people gang up on the poor and orphaned female lead for absolutely no reason other than to set up a dramatic background for her, the tone of the book is decided and so am I: I'm out. Why suffer through a bad plot that is so rehashed it's not even funny anymore...?
